Steps taken along the way. . .
There are times when we question the steps we’ve taken along the way. Hindsight is always 20/20 and we look back with a sense of judgment as to why we’ve made the choices that we have made. Why did we opt to take that job, begin that relationship, move to that city, choose that career or start that new friendship? At the time the choice was made, the decision appeared to be the correct one. In retrospect, we realize that the job, relationship, move, career or friendship wasn’t an ideal choice for us. At these times, we begin to have regrets. We regret lost seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years. Our sense of time doesn’t equate to time on the other side. While we may think we’ve wasted so much time, there is no judgment from the other side. The universe looks at the choices that we’ve made and adjusts in accordance with our bigger pictures. The power of now allows us to make different choices based on the wisdom we’ve gained. From this place of wisdom, the possibilities are endless. Having the ability to be non-judgmental with ourselves empowers us to be in a non-judgmental place with others. When we reflect on our choices from a place of love and respect, we put ourselves in the position of providing the same love and respect to everyone. We should never question the choices of others because it is never our place to stand in judgment of anyone. We know only our steps along the path. We do not know the journey of another. Our goal is to learn to embrace ourselves fully. In embracing ourselves, we allow others to be embraced in the same way.
